South Pacific 2019

New Zealand

Eva and a 500 years old Kauri tree. - This is in Whangarei. In other parts of New Zealand some are estimated to be 2000 years old.

We had to pass a suspension bridge.

Whangarei falls. It is not the Iguazu, but it is a nice place visited by many people, most of them by car, but also, like us, walking the paths from town.

View over Whangarei.

The marina in Whangarei, in Town Basin.

View over Smokehouse Bay in Great Barrier Island, outside Auckland. Te name of the bay is because there is a small house where you can smoke your catch of the day. There is also a pizza oven you may use to bake your pizza.

The bay is well protected and holding is good.

The water held 22 C and of course we had an autumn bath.

Having grandchildren means new  hobbies  also on the boat. Eva is doing knitware..

Approaching Auckland.

"Tatt av vinden" in Viaduct marina. Dwarft by the much bigger boats.
